Darius Barnes, a dancer, director, choreographer, and community organiser, died at 34. According to certain rumours, Darius Barnes’s cause of death was a medical condition.
Dance Theatre of Harlem tweeted the tragic news at the family of Barnes’s request. Before being accepted into the School of American Ballet, Barnes attended the Baltimore School for the Arts.

The Rudolf Nureyev and Estelle Dennis scholarships were awarded to Barnes. Additionally, he completed studies at the American Ballet Theatre, Chautauqua Institute, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Kirov Ballet Academy.
Darius Barnes, a dancer, passed away unexpectedly at age 34
He started as a corps de ballet dancer and trainee with the New York City Ballet. Moreover, the performer performed with the Suzanne Farrell Ballet.
Darius was a member of the Harlem Dance Theatre. He eventually made the switch from classical dance to theatre dance. Mean Girls, Memphis, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Kiss Me Kate, and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella were among Barnes’ Broadway performances.

In the revival of Sweet Charity by The New Group, Darius made his Off-Broadway debut. A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Guthrie featured Barnes as the title character.
Additionally, he made appearances in the world premieres of The Sting at the Kennedy Center’s Paper Mill Playhouse and Cabin in the Sky at New York City Center Encores.

The manner of death of Darius Barnes is unknown
The cause of death for Darius Barnes has not yet been made public. Rumours suggest that he may have died from disease, though. On Facebook, a friend and colleague choreographer announced the artist’s passing.
Barnes was getting ready to work as the Kimberly Akimbo Broadway production’s associate choreographer. The former Broadway performer just started choreographing.
The dancer worked on the inaugural Antonyo Awards, honouring Black theatre creators and their accomplishments in American theatre, as an associate executive producer, choreographer, writer, creative director, and editor.

Following the terrible announcement of Darius Barnes’ passing, his friends and supporters immediately flooded social media with hundreds of condolence comments.
