Irina Shayk is a Russian actress and model who dated Cristiano Ronaldo for 5 years between 2009 and 2014.

Apparently, Irina and Dolores, Cristiano’s mom, did not get along so well, and that cast a shadow over the relationship from the start.

Reports say that Dolores did not think Irina Shayk was the right woman for her son, and one of her major reasons was her grandson, Cristiano Jr.

Of course, the plan was for him to go with his girlfriend, but reports say that she refused to go with him, and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

The pair broke into a big argument and Cristiano took his mom’s side. Ronaldo ended up not even surprising his mom that year and was even just alone with his son on her birthday.

Rumors have it that his relationship with Nereida Gallardo, the woman he dated just before Irina Shayk, ended because his mom didn’t like her.

Apparently, Dolores said that Nereida was only with Ronaldo for his fame and money, so the Man United man dumped the Spanish model via text message.
